Beaver Damage and Conflict Management in Wisconsin
Wildlife Services, a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS-WS), has prepared a Pre-decisional Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Beaver Damage and Conflict Management in Wisconsin”. The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for APHIS-WS involvement in beaver damage management in Wisconsin. The EA is available for public review and comment prior to issuing a decision.
The proposed action is to implement an adaptive integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce beaver damage to human health and safety, property, agricultural and natural resources. APHIS-WS is requesting that the public review and provide their comments on the EA by February 23, 2026.
