Members:  The SPAMmers are mining our lake district website for names of commissioners and sending emails under the guise of those commmissioners' names.  Most of the SPAM we've seen so far falsely claims to be from our chairman Bob Wegener, and has a Subject Line such as "Need Your Help" or something similar, and is asking for money.  These emails ARE NOT coming from the board of directors!

If you happen to open one of these emails by accident or if you are unsure where it's coming from, you need only look at the URL to see that it is a bogus string of characters.  

DELETE THE EMAIL and under no circumstances reply to it.  If you have the option to mark it as SPAM, please do so. You need not forward it to us; we're seeing them already.
