Hello All ! Now that the new fishing limit is in place, the commissioners are looking for one or two people to volunteer their time to start the process of revising the signage down at the launch. The task is to identify some reliable sign manufacturers and then get quotes on various sizes of signs (with wording). The primary sign replacement is the large sign that outlines our fees, which should be revised to include the wording of the DNR's panfish limit, but adding signs at dock and maybe other places to ensure fisherman are aware of the new limits is also needed (and thank you Steve K for your fast feedback and input to yesterday's notice!).
All the gathered information on signs and costs will be presented to the commissioners for a final decision at their next meeting. This year's budget already includes money for replacing or adding signs at the launch, so this is not a new expense and doesn't require a member vote. The money comes from the launch fees, not our taxes. [This is NOT a one-time decision by the board; additional signs can be replaced or added as needed or recommended to the board over time, as long as money is available.]
We just need YOUR HELP to find a mfg and get some costs. Please contact the project point person Kari Ryan if you are interested in helping or if you have a recommendation for a sign mfg. She'll then coordinate a committee effort (one or more people) to gather information.
With thanks, the board of directors,
Kari Ryan, Commissioner [email protected]
